Jason's best friend, Tina, is dangerously witty and occasionally obnoxious. She's the girl at the end of the bar you have an instant crush on, which only intensifies when she makes a witty comment about your overuse of hair gel. Tina, unlike Jason, enjoys her job as a web-designer at online fashion site, Luxebop, but still manages to kickstart her friends' best and, also, worst nights. She has an on-and-off hook-up relationship with Brett, the kind of guy Tina would be mocking if she weren't dating. (He has a tattoo of the word tattoo.) But the big question is, will any guy be good enough for her?
Jason is all potential-- funny, neurotic, horny, potential. He's a candy-coated outside of wiseass wrapped around a sweet inside of vulnerability. He'd love to break into the music business, but has no real idea where to start. So in the absence of any direction, he spends his nights going out, often accompanied by his friend and wingwoman, Tina. But in a city where everyone has a goal, Jason knows deep down, pretty soon, he's going to need one, too. Jason was clearly stung by Jane. And while he may say he's just looking for his pants, he's really searching for love, and some footing in this strange new post collegiate world.
Eric is overwhelmed with Med School, but isn't nearly as anxious about grades as his girlfriend, Stacey, is. As he sees it, he's "the cool one, she's the hot one. She's white lightening, I'm chocolate thunder." Armed with his famous "ironic air quotes," Eric is always there to balance out Stacey's nerves and share some much needed guy-to-guy chats with Jason. He also functions as an impromptu (almost) doctor for his friends with dodgy medical insurance.
Stacey is a driven, hard working Law School student. She's acerbically funny and often neurotic, but she's absolutely certain that her live in boyfriend, Eric, is "the one." While focused on school, Stacey still likes herself a drink...hence the nickname she garnered in college, Sloppy Stacey. She's the sweet scholarly girl, who, when she has a few too many, starts to realize, "Hey, I have good boobs!"
Bobby owns the gang's local bodega. He supplies them with egg sandwiches as well as unsolicited advice. He has a huge smile but is cynical and unafraid to voice his points of view. Many of which are sexist, or as he claims, "sexy." While warm toward Jason, Bobby and Tina (whom he refers to as, "whore friend of Jason"), have some friction, based on an incident involving a drunken Tina and a missing box of donuts.
