No matter your sense of humour—be it weird, wholesome, or sick and depraved—JFL42 has something on its roster for you. The festival kicks off tonight and runs until September 27, with 6 headliners and 42 make-you-laugh acts on top of that. Below, we've rounded up some suggestions to please your varied comedic tastes.

For those who like nice white boys….
There are plenty of these in the lineup. Seth Meyers is headlining this year, and he's totally a nice boy. (And totally funny.) Pete Holmes also fits into this category, as does comedy vet/bowtie spokesperson Paul F. Tompkins.

For twentysomethings who live in Brooklyn…
Headliner Lena Dunham won't be doing stand-up, but she will be doing an on-stage interview with Jian Ghomeshi, and reading from her upcoming essay collection Not That Kind of Girl: A Young Woman Tells You What She’s “Learned. This is a Girls fan's essential ticket. For a more wacky take on the single-urban-twentysomething thing, you need to see Broad City. Actually, you probably just need to see Broad City, full stop.

For those with an aggro streak…
We're putting headliner Wanda Sykes in this category—the sample video on her JFL42 page starts with a story about how she smacked her bikini waxer. And Joe Rogan is also into fighting: he's taking a break from his job as a UFC commentator to headline at this year's festival.

For those with dirty minds…
Real-life friends Amy Schumer and Nikki Glaser may be the dirtiest comedians working today. Both of their acts typically focus on one thing: sex. For some pre-show foreplay, check out the entire second season of Inside Amy Schumer right here on Comedy.

For those who dig deadpan…
As a JFL 42 headliner, celebrity mountain man Nick Offerman is bringing Full Bush, his brand-new solo show, to Toronto. And while we don’t know much about this new act, we're guessing it will include musings on woodworking, finding peace with the wilderness, and body hair. Additional JFL42 deadpan artists include the amazing Tig Notaro, the equally amazing Ron Funches, and the totally awesome K Trevor Wilson, who opened for Sarah Silverman at last year's festival and will now be releasing his new comedy album, SexCop FirePenis.

For those who do NOT dig deadpan…
If you prefer your jokes either screamed, barked, or delivered in a hyperactive vaudevillian manner, try Andy Kindler (who will be hosting the Alternative Show every night at 11:00pm at Comedy Bar), Brody Stevens (just look at his official JFL42 photo), or the delightfully irate Debra DiGiovanni.

For those who want to see funny comedians who didn't fit into one of our categories…
There are so many more hilarious acts that we haven't even mentioned yet: Carmen Esposito, Jen Kirkman, Mike Lawrence, Emily Heller, Iliza Shlesinger are just a few of the other definitely-worth-seeing comedians included in this year's lineup. Check out the full list right here!
