The Colbert Report airs its final episode on December 18 and rather than find someone else with the last name ‘Colbert’ to replace Stephen, the show will simply vanish and be replaced by Larry Wilmore’s The Nightly Show. It’s too late now, but on last night’s special episode from Washington, D.C., appropriately titled, “Stephen Colbert Presents: Mr. Colbert Goes to Washington D.C. Ya Later, Legislator: Partisan is Such Sweet Sorrow: A Colbert Victory Lap, ‘014”, Colbert nation found out that Barack Obama would've make an excellent Colbert replacement if he wasn't so busy trying running a country.

Because he lives and works in the area and because he comes up so often on The Report, it made sense for Mr. Obama to show up and answer some questions but little did we know that he’d use his power as “The World’s Most Famous Hawaiian” to take over legendary Colbert segment, “The Word”.

Changing the segment to “The Decree” and showing how easy Colbert’s job is, Obama talked about healthcare while The Report dressed it up with hilarious sidebar quips.
