Creating a web series is a common first step toward eventually turning your ideas into something bigger such as a TV series or a film. Comedian Jason Nash managed to complete several of these steps at once with the hilarious new film Jason Nash is Married, which was originally developed as a digital series for Comedy Central’s CC Studios. The comedy was written, directed and executive produced by Nash who also stars as a fictionalized version of himself as he struggles to balance his troubled marriage and his underemployment as a comedian and screenwriter. The best part is you can watch the film right now on your own couch with your own reasonably-priced snacks as it was released today in Canada through iTunes!

Nash may have skipped over the web series step with Jason Nash is Married, but it’s not like Comedy Central just handed some guy a bunch of money to make a movie—he’s paid his dues. He created and starred in the GQ interview web series How To Be A Man and the Comedy Central web series The Shaman, and appeared on such shows as
Reno 911, House, Traffic Light, Funny or Die Presents…, The Andy Dick Show, and Lil Bush.  He was the co-host of Beyond Twisted by the creators of TMZ, and wrote and voiced the Current TV cartoon Supernews.  Nash has amassed 1 million followers across multiple social media platforms, notably on Vine, due to Jason’s particular voice, and his popular characters such as “Soda Dad.” Nash hosted and produced the popular podcast Guys With Feelings, and his CDs In the Land of Tall Buildings and Red Fire Engines and The Darkest Heart are available on iTunes.

There’s no lack of comedic star power in the film, featuring a hilarious ensemble cast made up of Busy Philipps, H. Jon Benjamin, T.J. Miller, Andy Richter, Paul F. Tompkins and Matt Walsh, with appearances by Rob Corddry, Andy Daly, David Koechner, Jerry Minor, Patton Oswalt, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Paul Scheer, and Nick Swardson.

If this hasn’t convinced you to watch the movie then you probably just aren’t that into comedy. For you real fans, head over to the
film’s website where you can find the trailers, exclusive deleted scenes, video clips, photos, GIFs and probably a link or two. And of course you can download the film through iTunes, RIGHT HERE.
