We don’t know what you’ve been doing at night while our trio of after-hours shows has been on hiatus, and frankly, we don’t want to know. Whatever it was, you can stop doing it because tonight starting at 11ep we’ve got new episodes of The Daily Show, The Colbert Report and @midnight that are bound to make you bury the memory of all the weird things you’ve been up to over the past couple of weeks.

There have been tons of huge real news stories that our fake news shows have missed while on vacation so expect some really great, insightful Daily Show reporting on Ferguson, the Middle East, the California Earthquake, Russia, and other stories signally the impending apocalypse. Daily Show guests this week include author David Rose tonight, author Hassan Abbas on Wednesday and comedian Todd Glass on Friday—if they formed a band they could be called "Glass ‘N Roses featuring Hassan".

Stephen Colbert has never been one for modesty, so expect some self-congratulatory comedy tonight following The Colbert Report’s big Emmy win last night for Outstanding Variety Series. Also, congratulations to The Colbert Report on their Emmy win!

Guest-wise, Stephen’s got Jeff Bridges and Lois Lowry tonight, Michael Sheen tomorrow and on Friday, street artist JR whose real identity remains a mystery in the grand tradition of people who paint on things that aren’t theirs.

We’re super sad to report that @midnight
will be moving over to Much starting September 2 so relish the memory of this week’s episodes so you can tell your kids you remember a time long ago when it was on Comedy. We may be losing a very funny show, but we are adding one when we start airing Jimmy Kimmel Live! starting September 22 at 11:35ep with The Colbert Report moving to 12:37ep. To “wet” your appetite for Jimmy, here he is doing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge as challenged by famous party animal, Rob Ford:
