The world’s first openly gay sweater came out of its closet last week and made headlines worldwide with its goal of stopping people from using the word “gay” to describe anything negative. Known for chasing the hottest stories, The Late O’Clock News used its considerable resources and convenient proximity to the sweater to get the scoop, with host Paul Lemieux getting to try it on the now legendary garment.

The sweater is made from the hair of those in LGBT community (humans, not cats), knitted together to represent the world’s first and only gay object. It’s a smart project that will work to eliminate bullying, homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of discrimination in schools and youth communities. Sounds like a pretty great sweater!
