There is no shortage of comedy festivals happening all over North America in the midst of the current comedy boom, but no of them compare to the granddaddy of the all, Just For Laughs. Today JFL announced the lineup for its 33rd edition and like the past 32 festivals, this year's is a comedy fan’s utopia.

The annual JFL Awards show will go down on July 24th at 4:30pm and will honour a handful of comedy heavyweights with the following awards:

Lifetime Achievement Award: Mike Myers  
Generation Award: Dave Chappelle
Comedy Person of the Year: Kevin Hart
Stand-up Comedian of the Year: Patton Oswalt
Comedy Writer of the Year: Armando Iannucci
Breakout Comedy Star of the Year: Ellie Kemper

Mike Myers will also appear at the Maison Symphonique on July 24 for An Evening with Mike Myers, a conversation with the legend that will cover his career and his Canadian roots.

Dave Chappelle will do six shows and Kevin Hart will perform in the biggest individual indoor JFL show of all time at the Bell Centre on July 24.

As always, JFL has brought together a diverse bunch of hosts to helm their famous gala shows. The first bunch of gala hosts includes Neil Patrick Harris, Trevor Noah and Jane Lynch, with more to be announced leading up the fest.  

If you live in Montreal but can’t handle the pressure of buying tickets you’ll be very pleased to know that the one and only “Weird Al” Yankovic will be performing a FREE outdoor show on July 21.
