Donald Trump is going to be skipping the White House Correspondent’s Dinner on April 27 for the third year in a row, and, in an unsurprising move, the White House Correspondents’ Association announced that this year’s dinner will not feature a traditional comedian host.

But fear not. Those who were looking forward to a scathing Trump roast can turn to Sam Bee, who has taken matters into her own hands and declared herself the “new White House Correspondents’ Association”. Despite vowing not to host an event like this ever again after organizing one a couple years back, this year she'll return to host Full Frontal with Samantha Bees “second not-annual” Not the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Her first iteration of the special won an Emmy in 2017, and viewers should expect nothing less of this year’s upcoming gala event.

Looking for specific reasons to tune in? Here are just a few.

Journalists Will Be Held Accountable, Not Just Celebrated

While 2017’s dinner was a celebration of journalists and the work they do, this year will find Bee highlighting the faults found in the world of journalism. With the U.S. presidential elections taking place next year, this year’s event aims to empower journalists to keep the presidential candidates honest.

It'll Embrace the Haters

There will be a focus placed specifically on roasting Trump and all the different aspects of the U.S. president and his administration. Not the White House Correspondents’ Dinner promises to take on the customary responsibilities of the traditional dinner by having fun while making sure the administration can honour its promises and be held responsible for its actions.

You Can Join In

The hashtag #RoastThePresident is being used by the official Full Frontal Twitter account (@FullFrontalSamB) to invite everyone (even us non-Americans) to celebrate the "non-sexy parts of the First Amendment”.

The Celebrity Cameos

This dinner is set to feature a ton of on-stage action and taped celebrity cameos. No one has been confirmed to attend yet, so tune in tomorrow to discover who exactly will make an appearance---you may be surprised.

It'll Have Better Food Than Last Time

There will be a full three-course meal, and that’s a promise.

Not the White House Correspondents’ Dinner airs tomorrow at 10ep on Comedy.
